Release block while Clocky is idle so stamina can return. When an arm signals the next strike, hold right click and move the guard left, right, or center to meet it. After a clean block, tap left click once, then reset. Phase 3 is faster, but the same rhythm still applies.
| Where | Mellow's changed room during the Stay, Ending C route |
|---|---|
| Defense | Right click, then aim the guard toward the incoming strike |
| Counter | Left click after Clocky finishes an attack |
| Main danger | Holding block or attacking into guard until stamina is empty |
| Skip available | No. The rematch blocks the route to the Ending C finale |

How to reach the second Clocky fight
Beaten Clocky is not the Clocky encounter from the Prologue. It appears only after the prepared Stay route changes Mellow's room. If the room is ordinary, the fight has not activated and a missing Ending C prerequisite is the problem, not the boss itself.
- Complete Escape and Return on earlier branches.
- Use a dedicated run for the hidden sequences in Misery Town, Timesville, and the Office.
- Use the conservative route: skip Prologue Clocky, take the Toy Saw, and defeat the three optional bosses.
- At the late epilogue, return to Mellow's room instead of using the final exit.
- Enter the changed room and prepare for the Clocky rematch.
The Ending C checklist covers the three secrets. This page begins when Clocky comes through the opening in the wall.
The safest block and counter loop
- Start neutral.Do not hold block before a tell. An idle guard spends the stamina you need later.
- Read the arm.Watch Clocky's shoulder and arm position instead of the bright background.
- Match the direction.Right click and move the guard into the lane of the incoming hit.
- Counter once. When Clocky finishes the swing and opens up, use one left-click attack.
- Release and recover.Stop both inputs as soon as the opening closes. Repeat only after the next tell.
Left, right, and center attack tells
| Clocky tell | Your response | Common mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Left-side arm moves | Guard the left lane | Following the face instead of the arm |
| Right-side arm moves | Guard the right lane | Changing direction after the strike starts |
| Arm rises near the head | Guard the center | Treating the high pose as another side hit |
If a direction repeatedly fails, return the mouse to neutral between attacks. Carrying the previous guard direction into a new tell makes the faster phases feel less consistent than they are.
What changes in phases 2 and 3
Learn the silhouette
Use the slower opening to recognize all three tells. Do not trade health for extra hits.
Shorter reset window
Return to neutral sooner. One counter is safer than a combo that steals recovery time.
Protect the stamina bar
The cadence accelerates. Skip a counter if the bar is low and survive the next attack first.
How to recover stamina
Stamina returns during real pauses, not while the block is held. The reliable recovery window is the gap after a completed attack cycle. Release right click, do not throw a speculative punch, and let the bar refill before the next tell. Reaching phase 3 with a healthy bar matters more than ending phases 1 and 2 quickly.
What happens after Beaten Clocky
The victory opens the altered passage beyond Mellow's room. Follow it down to the Surgeon's final terminal sequence. No special sentence is needed to complete the route: ask the lore questions you want, then use the option that ends the questioning. Read theSurgeon character guide first if you want a topic list, or continue to the Ending C explanation after the credits.
Guide sources
The route was cross-checked against the Steam community ending guide, current chapter walkthroughs, and player reports about the rematch's directional tells and stamina drain. Exact timing can vary with input rhythm, so this guide avoids invented frame counts.
