The full game saves at wandering in-world points and uses one active file. Patch 1.04 added Steam Cloud. Cloud mirrors that file across devices, so make a separate backup before the Saw Box, optional boss branches, and the Stay secret route.
| Feature | Demo | Full game |
|---|---|---|
| Save points | No transferable progress | Wandering in-world save points |
| Active slots | Not applicable | One |
| Steam Cloud | No transfer to full game | Available since patch 1.04 |
| Best backup moment | Not needed | Before the Chapter II Saw Box and late secret routes |
How saving works
The full release places save characters or points around the world. Interact with them before leaving a large area, approaching a boss, or closing the game. Progress after the last save point can be lost if you quit or encounter a crash.
Only one game file is active at a time. That matters because Endacopia has mutually exclusive boss solutions and a late Toy Saw versus Real Saw branch. Steam Cloud makes the same file portable but does not add a chapter select or parallel save slots.
Steam Cloud since patch 1.04
AndyLand enabled Steam Cloud on July 31, 2026. With Steam Cloud enabled for your account and for Endacopia, Steam can synchronize the active save when moving between computers. Let Steam finish syncing before launching the game on the second device.
- Close Endacopia and wait for Steam to finish its upload.
- Confirm Steam Cloud is enabled in Steam settings and in Endacopia's properties.
- On the second computer, let Steam download the current file before starting the game.
- If Steam reports a conflict, compare timestamps carefully instead of selecting a file at random.
When to make a manual backup
- Near-complete Chapter I: stop before the three area bosses so the same branch can support ending and achievement cleanup.
- Optional boss encounters: fight and avoid solutions unlock different achievements.
- Saw Box: code 471 opens the Toy Saw and Real Saw choice for Ending A and B.
- Stay preparation: keep a clean file before completing the Misery Town, Timesville, and Office secrets.
Close both Endacopia and Steam before copying save data. Keep the backup in a separate, clearly dated folder outside Steam's userdata directory. Do not overwrite the only copy until the restored branch loads correctly.

Patch recovery tools
Ending achievement did not unlock
Patch 1.07 added a Steam API check on the title screen for ending achievements. Update the game, return to the title screen, and allow the check to run. Re-entering Mellow's room while the gold soccer ribbon is visible triggers the same type of check.
Saved volume is stuck at zero
In version 1.07 or newer, press F9 to set volume to 100 percent. Hold Left Shift while using the plus or minus key for deliberate adjustment. The Shift requirement prevents accidental permanent mute on keyboards with different key layouts.
An older save hit a fixed softlock
Update to version 1.08 or newer and reload the affected area. Patches 1.01 through 1.08 repaired inventory-transition locks, the dice-room crash, Telescope crashes, Timesville item problems, and several Misery Town movement locks. Read the exact official note for the area before abandoning the file.
Demo saves and the full game
The Steam demo is a separate opening sample. Its progress does not carry into the paid game, so plan to replay the Prologue after purchase. Thedemo walkthrough keeps that opening route separate from full-game save and ending advice.
Save system sources
Steam Cloud timing, volume recovery, and achievement resync come from AndyLand's official patch announcements. The wandering save point and one-slot behavior is described across the current full-game walkthrough and Steam community guides.
